I hear you asking, ‘how can you be shooting a pilot if you haven’t done any casting?’ Well, that will be first of course and in the next day or so we’ll have our first casting announcement. We’ll be contacting those of you that submitted so far to come in. The first casting session will be open as well, in case you did submit and we accidentally did not let you know about it! Seriously, we got a lot of submissions so it’s possible we will miss people with our emails.

Stay tuned for the casting notice. Now how about those t-shirts…

Casting going well. Lots of great submissions.

Thank you to everyone who has submitted their headshots and resumes to the project so far. Please keep them coming. We will be getting in touch will people in a few weeks when we narrow down our audition times. Again, please continue to submit!

Thank you, also to those who sent audio samples for some of the musical roles.

Beer 15 Web Series Seeks Advertising Sponsorship

WHAT WE NEED:
Beer 15, the new web series from Webasodic Productions in association with Emerging Artist Productions is currently seeking fiscal sponsorship for the 13 episode season.  The story features the power of beer to bring people together and then humiliate them.  Our perfect sponsor is a brewery or beer company looking to reach the college-aged market. To discuss the sponsorship opportunity please contact us at info@beer15.com

BEER FIFTEEN – Internet Series Synopsis

Beer Fifteen is the story of Mike Jacobus and his best friend Ty Bodeman.  Mike is a Junior in college at San Jose Sate University, and rhythm guitar player for the band Beer Fifteen. The band plays comedic songs similar to Spinal Tap, Pat McCurdy, Flight of the Concords, Tenacious D, etc.  Ty is his lifelong best friend, roommate, and perennial shenanigans maker.  The Beer Fifteen web series is ultimately the story of how Mike meets his girlfriend, Stephanie as told through the hi-jinks of the two campus celebrities.  This small scale, “entourage-esque” show is character driven in it’s comedy.  The story begins as Mike and the band set up for a late summer barbeque.  At the barbeque Mike and Stephanie meet, only to have their first contact result in a mysterious rash.  The first few episodes feature Mike, Ty and friends hunting down the source of the rash and clearing Mike’s reputation.

Throughout the rest of the series we see Mike’s life as he dates Stephanie and the havoc their relationship has on Ty and the band.

Beer Fifteen is a college comedy series, much like Todd Phillips’ “Old School” and  “Road Trip.”

BEER FIFTEEN – Cast breakdown

Mike Jacobus -
Mike plays guitar in a comedy band called ‘Patomic Explosion’.  He is an advertising major at San Jose State University.  He doesn’t know what he wants to do in life, although he thinks he would be able to make it as a band, but knows that eventually he will have to make a living somehow.  Mike is the straight man of the joke party.
– This actor needs to be able to play guitar and sing.

Ty Bodeman
Ty is the sidekick.  Often the leader of the group, the prankster, the comedian, the fool,   Ty attends Santa Clara University for free, due to his father being a professor.  He has one sister, Jamie, who is 2 years younger than him.  He has inherited a large sum of money from this grandfather and is living comfortably off of that.  Since he attends college for free, and has the inheritance for a lush comfortable living.

Stephanie Bebo
Stephanie is a business major.  She has goals of becoming a CEO of a multi-national company.  She, of course, is just learning however.  She has the drive, and is attracted to Mike’s care-free attitude, which she will later grow to hate.  The reason she wants to be with him is that opposites attract.  But that only lasts so long.  Stephanie stays with Mike, just for the comfort of staying.

Bethany:
Bethany is a vixen of a biochemistry student who is continually hanging out with Mike and Ty.  She has a on and off again flirtatious relationship with Ty throughout the series.  She always wants to hang out, but rebuffs every one of Ty’s advances.   She dresses provocatively for Ty, waiting for him to really give in to her.

Jamie Bodeman:
Ty’s younger sister of only 2 years.  She is independent, spunky, and very cute.

Kate
Kate is Stephanie’s friend and knows Mike from high school.  At first she is for Stephanie dating Mike.  Then during the Rash episodes she has a change of heart. Afterwards She is all for the relationship between Mike and Stephanie.

Erik
Erik is the lead singer and guitar player in the band.  I would like this person to be able to play guitar and have some song-writing abilities.

Dave
Bass player in the band.  Small part, but part of the band.  Dave is consistently losing things.  Most of the time, he just forgets where he puts things, but Mike and Ty have been hiding items of his lately.

Mike Wang
Drummer.  Wang is a closet furry, often found wearing a panda costume while working for his Dad’s restaurant, Pandamonium.

Kyle:
Kyle is a biochemist in his sophomore year. He has a secret which will be revealed in Episode 4.

Joe:
Joe is a film major at San Jose State.  He wants to be a famous documentary filmmaker, and spends the majority of his time behind the lens documenting the antics of Mike and Ty.  He has a break out episode late in the first series, where we see the whole thing from his point of view.

Other small and re-occurring roles are available.
